An attractive, confident smile can be on of your most valuable assets. It is often the first thing people notice about you. There is nothing quite like the good feeling of knowing you have a healthy beautiful looking smile. How do you feel abut your smile? Are you pleased with it, or do you wish it looked better?
There are many common dental issues that can be corrected through cosmetic procedures. These problems include poorly shaped teeth, overlapping front teeth, discolored teeth, missing teeth, chipped teeth, and/or gaps between teeth. To assess your smile and provide you with the best options for a beautiful smile, take a moment to ask yourself these important questions:
- Are you pleased with the general appearance of your teeth and smile?
- Are your teeth straight?
- Are there spaces between your front teeth that you dislike?
- Are you satisfied with the color of your teeth?
- Are any of your teeth chipped? Hidden? Protruding?
- Are your gums puffy, red or swollen looking?
- Do you have old fillings or dental work that makes you less confident about your smile?
- What would you most like to change about the appearance of your teeth?
- How would you like your teeth to look?
Based on the answers to these critical questions and his thorough clinical examination, Dr. Dabbous will be able to give you a complete smile evaluation with treatment options for a beautiful healthy smile such as conservative Porcelain Veneers (i.e. Hollywood Smile), full Porcelain Crowns, Implant Restorations, Tooth Whitening, Gum Shaping, or a combination thereof.

Veneers & Crowns
These ceramic shells of teeth are designed to fit over one’s natural teeth allowing the dentist to change their shape and color to the patient’s desired dream smile. These are sometimes commonly known as “Hollywood Smile” or “Lumineers”TM. Depending on the condition of the specific teeth in need for a smile change, the degree of tooth surface preparation varies from No-prep to Minor-prep of the surface of the teeth.
Clear Tooth Aligners
Want to straighten your teeth but don’t want braces? Clear removable tooth aligners may be utilized in many cases to straighten your teeth with a specific focus on your “Smile Zone.” Dr. Dabbous has improved many smiles through the use of these customized tooth aligners.
FAQ
How often do I wear the aligners for?
For best results, aligners should be worn at least 22hrs per day allowing for time to eat, drink and brush your teeth.
How long does it take to straighten my teeth?
Depending on your case, it may range anywhere between 6 to 18 months.
How do the aligners work to straighten my teeth?
Every 2 weeks you are given a new set of aligners that you will wear for 22hrs a day and once they have moved your teeth for that specific stage, you’ll be given a new set.
Do I eat with the aligners in?
No. The advantage of the removable aligners is that you must take them out when you eat, thus eliminating any eating restrictions.
Will the aligners hurt?
Teeth will usually be sore for a few days after wearing the first set of aligners. Over the counter painkillers are usually more than enough to alleviate this discomfort.
Gum Shaping
Gum shaping involves cosmetic enhancement of your teeth. When assessing your smile, as part of your assessment the dentist may notice overgrown gums giving you a “gummy smile” and possibly shorter smaller teeth. At the time of your assessment the dentist will discuss options with you that may include laser gum shaping (Gingivectomy), crown lengthening, or possibly just a simple scaling and polish to rejuvenate your gums for a healthier smile.
